MOA ARENA (PASAY), JANUARY 25, 2015 –
Students from 1SLP and 3SLP, headed by SLP Society President Adrienne Dela
Cruz, volunteered to assist for this year’s Angels Autism Walk organized by the
Autism Society Philippines (ASP). The event was celebrated to “amplify the
message of autism awareness and inclusion” in line with this year’s Autism
Consciousness Week.

With an estimated count of 12,000
participants from different ASP Chapters all over the Philippines, the event
aimed to break the Guinness World Record of having the largest crowd wearing
wings. It also held an Angels Wings Contest, where in members of the SLP
Society assisted the organizers in the counting and measuring of the participants’
wings. After a short program, the entire crowd walked from the Mall of Asia
Arena to the mall grounds.
“Autism Inclusive Philippines: Aim High! Fly High!” is the theme of the 2015 Philippine National Autism Consciousness Week. The Autism Society Philippines continues to inspire awareness, acceptance and inclusion of persons with autism (PWAs) in society and to promote action by the public and private sectors towards enabling PWAs to live with dignity, enjoy equal rights and access, function independently and contribute productively.” – Autism Society Philippines Website
