“Sometimes, you read a book
and it fills you with this weird evangelical zeal, and you become convinced
that the shattered world will never be put back together
unless and until all living humans read the book.” ― John Green, The Fault in Our Stars
The “Fault In Our
Stars” is a book by John Green about a
teenage girl who has lung cancer and attends a cancer support group. She met a guy, Augustus Waters, who has bone
cancer. Little did they know that this chance encounter would lead to something
more.
The story was a roller coaster ride of
emotions, full of tears and laughter. The excitement and humor showcased a form of
bravery which also served to hide their depression and hopelessness. You become
to be a part of their group as you read through the book. You get to witness
their romance and anger, how they tried to make their families and friendship
strong with their smiles despite their conditions. It will make you fall in
love with how perfect Augustus and Hazel’s relationship was and how sad that it
had to end.
This book was made for the kind-hearted
readers who love drama. It rekindles this hope that love, the pure and unconditional
kind, does exist. Get ready to smile, laugh, and cry as you scan the stars for
the meaning of life and love.
